What will you do?
In this role, you will play a key part in the logistics process. You will work directly with selected carriers and freight forwarders to ensure the right partner is chosen for every shipment. Whether you’re importing containers from various countries or coordinating groupage and bulk transports to international customers, you’ll take the lead. You’ll also maintain close contact with the production department, ensuring that goods are ready on time and accompanied by the correct quality and transport documents. Negotiating rates and delivery terms with logistics partners is another important aspect of your job, as you strive to find the best balance between cost and quality. Your administrative skills will be essential for managing, verifying, and accurately tracking all shipping documentation. In this diverse position, you’ll collaborate with an international team and interact with various departments, including Sales and Finance, to ensure optimal service for our global customers.
In short, your responsibilities include:
- Importing containers from different parts of the world;
- Coordinating groupage shipments to international customers;
- Staying in close contact with our forwarding partners;
- Managing warehouse inventory levels;
- Providing the correct quality documents to customers;
- Reviewing and approving quality documents from suppliers;
- Coordinating communication between Production and external logistics partners.

Our client is located in Dordrecht and has experienced rapid growth in the production, storage, and trade of lecithin since 2016. With offices in the Netherlands and the United States, they serve a global customer base that depends on high-quality products. The team consists of 15 colleagues with 8 different nationalities, creating an open, informal atmosphere where communication lines are short.
Who are you?
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Dutch is a plus;
- Enthusiastic and proactive, and enjoys working in an international team;
- Possesses knowledge and affinity for logistics processes and transport documentation;
- Experience with (ISO and Flexitank) transport;
- Available full-time and willing to work on-site;
- Motivated and eager to develop into a specialist.
